Ruth Larrson, 103, surpassed past record holder Catherine Hodges, who ventured to fly at 103 years and 129 days.

In 2019, when the Swede turned 101, she jumped with a parachute for the first time, but she did not get into the Book of Records. For a few months, Larrson was overtaken by another senior citizen. Then Ruth realized that she just had to outlast the competitor and take the championship for herself.

And so it happened. Ruth Larrson is now the oldest person in the world to skydive.

so it turns out Ruth Larson beat the Guinness world record for oldest sky diver.
