The newly inaugurated chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ebonyi State chapter, Mr. Stanley Okoro Emegha, Friday said that the opposition party PDP will vote for the APC in the state in the 2023 election.
He said that the numerous achievements of the current government will earn the party massive support from the opposition.
Emegha, spoke in Abakaliki shortly after he arrived from the inauguration of APC states party chairmen held yesterday in Abuja.
The APC state boss further expressed confidence that the incumbent Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State was going to fly the APC presidential flag and as well emerge the next president of Nigeria.
According to him wide-reaching consultation for Governor Umahi’s presidential bid was already ongoing in Abuja. He added that Umahi would emerge as the new brand president come 2023.
The chairman assured the party members that he will work hard to see that the party didn’t fail in Ebonyi State.
His words, “Ebonyi state is not one of the states you will be doubting will win the general election. Even PDP the opposition party will still cast vote for APC in Ebonyi State because of the achievements of the governor.
“The person that will take over will only do a maintenance culture. I want to let you know that I am back. Woe is unto me if the party is not doing very well.
“We are going to make APC of Ebonyi State be the envy of the party. People are trying to queue behind the party because of one single man. He is an experienced party man. We will do well.
“I am very confident with what I am seeing. People are seeing me as a villa boy. I am so pampered in the villa. People are flowing around. A lot of consultation has commenced. Something great will happen. I have so much confidence that he will fly the party’s flag and emerge as the new brand president. We have never had any parallel congress in Ebonyi State”, he said.
