School of health Blessed Martins International Institute of Science and Technology Ohatekwe Amagu, Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state Friday held her 6th matriculation ceremony.
Eighty-two fresh students were inducted and admitted into the school.
The foremost school of health which took off academic activities in 2017 with 99 students in community health and health information now has over five hundred students and has successfully secured accreditation for about five courses.
The school is the first private health institution given the accreditation to run the HND program in health information management by the professional regulatory body.
A visitor to the school, Governor of Ebonyi state Engr. David Umahi represented by Secretary to the State government Dr. Kenneth Ugbala commended the founder of the health institution Chinedu Ogah and urged the students to study hard as the life of sick people is always in the hands of the healthcare providers who attend to them.
He said it would be their turn to render good health services to their community and state when they get the certificate thus the need to study well.
The member representing Ikwo/ Ezza south federal constituency at the national assembly Hon. Chinedu Ogah pointed out that the students were lucky to gain admission into the school and therefore should study hard and make their parents proud.
He assured best-graduating students of better opportunities courtesy of his office.
Rector of the school Dr. Emma Okoro in his address said the lecturers have been deploying very effectively all the modern physical facilities and equipment available to infuse and imbue the students with quality academic input which is yielding good results.
He warned against examination malpractice and urged young secondary school leavers to enroll in the health institution and obtain their HND results in health courses.
“We abhor examination malpractice and we are intolerant to immoral behaviors “.
The proprietress of the school of health Mrs. Mary Ogah warned the female students against bringing male colleagues into their hostels.
She urged them to study hard to enable them to take over the wand of human progress in education, health, and other fields of human enterprises.
Bar kelechi Igwe the deputy governor of Ebonyi state was represented by the local government chairman Bar. Sunday Nwankwo.
