
Boyi Manja, the abducted caretaker committee chairman of the Takum local government council has regained his freedom.
Manja, who had been taken hostage by unknown gunmen after an ambush along Takum road, which led to the death of his orderly, has recently been confirmed a free man The caretaker committee chairman was declared a free man on Thursday, although no reasonable comments has been made to how he regained his freedom.
According to the leader of the Local Government Legislative Council, Pius Bulus Gauva, the reason for Manja’s release is unknown as it is uncertain if a ransom was paid or not although he said, “we are glad that our principal has finally regained his freedom.”The leader, who was full of praise to God, the state government and security operatives, could not tell whether or not a ransom was paid.

Leader Pius also said “Our major concern and joy is that he has been released, he is back home to his family, to the council and to the state at large. Above all, he is healthy.
So, we return the glory back to our God,” he added.
