The problem of the embattled Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with aggrieved members led by Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Ikpeazu of Abia and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, seems to be taking a turn for the worse, as there is an alleged plot to give Ayu the Oshiomhole treatment, whereby his Ward Chairman was used to suspend him from the party.
According to a reliable source in Benue State Government House, Makurdi, plans have been finalized to use Ayu’s Ward chairman to suspend him from the party and then, initiate criminal proceedings of embezzlement against him.
The source said, that a huge amount of funds has been provided for the exercise, which obviously will ginger all the people who have been recruited into the plot.
What is clear for now is that the Wike-led group, despite several overtures to them are not backing down, which in consequence portends ominous signs for PDP reconciliation as the campaigns are kicking off.
