CICAN ADDRESSES CHALLENGES ON FOREX CRISIS

The Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) held its 2021 WORKSHOP AND AWARD

CERMONY themed Impact of FX Crisis on the Real Sector on the 16th of December 2021 at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.

The chief executive officer of the center for promotion of private enterprises and former DG LCCI Dr. Muda Yusuf spoke on the problems of forex changes and unstable increases in the country.

Afterwards the panel consisting of Comr. James Oyeshola, Chinasa Ezioke and Mr. George Olofowokan rose with decisions in favour and to contribute to Dr. Muda Yusuf’s speech,

Comr. James Oyeshola urged most investors to partake in agriculture, he also spoke on the increase in gas refills in the state and wide, saying it would increase the profit of forex trading, he explained further as seen below

Mrs. Chinasa Ezioke representative of LASEMA spoke on the challenges of forex trading, she stated that the predominant problem in recent times of forex trading is when manufacturers access the CBN intervention; she spoke further on the problems and also encouraged FX exports 

Mr. George Olofowokan shone more light on the situation; he spoke upon the easy business mentality Nigerians used to work daily

Comr. James Oyeshola then followed to shed more light on the decision of adding maize to the list of banned items

Afterwards Mrs. Chinasa elaborated on the ease of doing business, the problems of importing and exporting at the port and the forex increase rate both nationally and internationally,

Many other dignitaries took their time to Contribute to the discussion on forex crisis, private and real sectors advantages and disadvantages,

After profitable and accountable speeches from the panel, host and members of CICAN, the organization awarded different dignitaries alongside contributors to appreciate their efforts

Many veteran journalists, private and government chief executives were among delegates that graced the occasion

Concluding the event the vote of thanks was anchored by Mr. Barnabas and then the closing prayer was taken by Mr. David Ubabudike
