A federal high court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, Tuesday granted an injunction restraining Princess Ann Agom-Eze from being a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) and joining the party in any civil and criminal proceeding.
This follows the suit filed by the state Chairman of the party, Stanley Okoro Emegha against her.
Agom-Eze and Governor David Umahi have been a battle for the Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket of the party for the 2023 general election.
A court of Appeals, however, declared Umahi as the authentic candidate of the party for the senatorial ticket.
But Agom-Eze reportedly went to Supreme Court to seek redress against the Appeal Court judgment.
Consequently, the party approached a federal high in Abalaliki and obtained an injunction restraining her from being a member of the party and joining it in any civil and criminal proceeding.
The ruling APC recently expelled Agom – Eze from the party and accused her of double standard after she reportedly withdraw from the senatorial race and dragged Governor Umahi and the party to court alleging that she did not withdraw from the race.
Granting the injunction against her, Justice Fatun Riman restrain the embattled Princess from parading herself as a member of APC and Ebonyi south senatorial candidate of the party for the 2023 general election pending the determination of the substantive suit.
The court adjourned the matter to the 6th of October
