Provost federal college of Education Technical Isu, Ebonyi State prof Okey Reuben Okechukwu has been commended for bringing rapid infrastructural development and security to the newly approved Institution despite the learn resources.
Members of the governing council of the college gave the commendation during their board meeting in the school.
Federal College of Education technical Isu, Onicha local government was among the six newest colleges of Education established by President Mohammedu Buhari in 2021 and prof Okechukwu was appointed the provost along with other principal officers.
The college is expected to commence effective academic activities in October 2022.
Chief Simon Shango, chairman of the governing council in a letter commended the provost and his team for their efforts to put the institution in other.
He said the council noted with complete satisfaction from the provost’s report presented at the 1st Emergency meeting held on the 10th September 2022 and also felt satisfied that despite financial constraints the college under his watch as the provost has made great strides in the areas of infrastructural development and security.
“it was also noted that you made a great sacrifice in the area of sourcing intervention funds for various developmental areas of the college.
The board chairman expressed hope that with the provost’s passion, the college will soon be the best in the country.
“We do not doubt that if you will maintain this tempo, the college will grow, and turn out to be the best in infrastructural development and academic standards in this country.
The Provost, prof Reuben Okochukwu in his submission assured the council that he will continue to work assiduously to actualize the college’s excellent objectives.
” I m happy for the recognition. It will spur me to work harder. I thank the council for her objectivity. I shall continue to give my best to make the college realize its motto which is a citadel of excellence in technology and learning.
