Governor Francis Nwifuru has been conferred the Chieftaincy title of “Dike du oha ree 1” by his Nwoka Nwankwegu maternal family for his tremendous work in the state.
The Conferment took place at the Okpoduma maternal home of the Governor on Sunday.
Addressing the people, Governor Nwifuru thanked the Nwoka Nwankwegu extended family for the show of love and prayed to God to keep blessing them.
He commended the former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Chief Cletus Ofoke, a grand Child of the Maternal home for effective representation of the family during his reign as Commissioner.
The Governor while reiterating the resolve of his administration to focus more on human capital building, assured that he would take adequate care of his maternal family within his reign.
Governor Nwifuru called on the people of the area to ensure the proper upbringing of their children to secure a better future for them.
In a remark, the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Cletus Ofoke thanked the Governor for obliging the invitation of his maternal family and prayed God to keep guiding him.
Earlier, on behalf of the maternal home, Chief Odigwe Ophoke, and Chief Mike Ofoke congratulated the Governor for his landslide victory in the recent Governorship election and his subsequent swearing-in as the fourth Executive Governor.
The maternal family while praying God to keep blessing the Governor, conferred on him the title of Dike du oha ree 1 for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of humanity.
