An eight-year-old boy in Florida, USA, killed a one-year-old child and injured a little girl while playing with his father’s firearm.

An eight-year-old boy in the US state of Florida killed a one-year-old boy and wounded a little girl while playing with his father’s firearm,

Roderick Randall,45, the boy’s father has been arrested to face the charges of failing to possess an illegal firearm and conceal evidence.

The incident took place in a motel where Roderick had gone with his son to see his new fiancé, who had also gone there with her two-year-old twins and one-year-old daughter.

knowing where his father had hidden his gun, picked it up and started playing with it as his father departed from the motel. The eight-year-old boy then shoots, the bullet hits one of the twins after passing through the child’s body, injuring him. According to statement the mother of the victims was asleep at the time of the incident. On returning Roderick learns of the incident and is said to have hidden the gun along with drugs alleged to be narcotics, out of the room where the crime took place.

So far recent Gun Safety Reports quite a large number of children in the United States each year, who have access to bulky, unsafe weapons in lockers, drawers, backpacks, or handbags, or weapons left in the corner. And inadvertently shoot at them.

The organization, which fights for better regulation of firearms, said the unintentional shootings of children result in an average of 350 deaths each year. According to the Gun Violence Archive, firearms cause about 40,000 deaths a year in the United States, including suicide.
