
The Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, has commended federal government for the passage and signing of the Southeast Development Commission Bill into law.
Ogah who particularly expressed his heartfelt commendation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, P.hD, Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Governors of the Southeast zone, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, and Members of the National Assembly for their significant achievements in the Southeast region, particularly the successful passage and signing of the Southeast Development Commission Bill into law today by the President maintained that it is an evidence that the President has special love for ndigbo.
A statement from his media team said “Hon. Ogah recognizes the instrumental roles played by these distinguished leaders in fostering cooperation and growth in the region, especially the efforts of the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, who initiated the Bill, a project that began about 50 years ago.
He appreciated the Deputy Speaker for demonstrating unwavering commitment to the Bill and the region’s development.
As the region looks forward to reaping the benefits of the Southeast Development Commission, Hon. Ogah emphasizes the importance of continued collaboration and dedication in advancing the welfare of the region and its citizens. He offers his prayers for more developmental strides in the region as a result of this landmark achievement.
