A young girl identified as Ezinne has been reportedly killed in a hotel in Abakaliki Ebonyi State the state capital by unknown assailants.
The girl who is in her 20s hails from Ikwo, Ikwo local government area of the state.
She was reportedly killed by suspected Yahoo boys for money ritual.
The incident reportedly took place in one of the hotels around the popular G-hostel of mile 50 Abakaliki.
It was said that Ezinne’s vital parts were removed by her assailants, that the mutilated body has been deposited in a mortuary in the state.
Social media reports said that two girls were killed in the hotel with their private parts removed.
And another one killed and body dumped beside another hotel in Abakaliki making it three girls reportedly killed in Abakaliki in the recent time.
The social media have been a washed with the ugly news since Tuesday when the body of Ezinne was recovered from the hotel.
But when contacted on phone the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Loveth Odah confirmed the news and said one person was killed and none of her sensitive parts was removed out of the girl’s body by her killers.
“I am not aware of two persons. One person was killed and nothing was plugged out of her. Please, I am preparing a press statement on it.
Odah said the investigation into the matter was on.
