The 24th Milo Basketball Championship (MBC) concluded in a spectacular fashion at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos, with Ijaiye Housing Estate Grammar School of Lagos State and Dom Domigos College of Delta State emerging as the male and female champions, respectively.
In a gripping showdown in the male category, Ijaiye Housing Estate Grammar School narrowly defeated Father O’Connell, Niger State, after a tense game that ended 38-38 in the fourth quarter and proceeded to extra time. Ijaiye Housing Estate clinched the victory with a final score of 49-45.
The female category witnessed Dom Domigos College from Delta State overcoming the 2023 champions, Topfield College, Ajegunle, securing the title with a 44-38 win.
Wassim El-Husseini, Managing Director of Nestlé Nigeria Plc, lauded the participants for their competitive spirit and dedication. He remarked, “The participants embodied the spirit of competition that this championship fosters. To every player, coach, and supporter, your journey here is a testament to your hard work and commitment. I congratulate everyone.”

Highlighting its commitment to diversity and inclusion, the championship also featured a special category for young people with disabilities.
The victorious teams were awarded championship trophies, cash prizes, basketball kits, and a variety of MILO products.
