Lagos Mainland Monarch, Oloto of Otto, Calls for Unity Among Ruling Houses and Otto Kingdom Descendants

Lagos Mainland, Nigeria – The Prescribed Authority and Paramount Ruler of Mainland, His Royal Majesty Muh’ Bashir Alamu Abisoye Odesanya (Olupejobi II), the Oloto of Otto and Lagos Mainland, has called for unity, peace, and collaboration among the three principal ruling houses of the Otto Kingdom—the Olupejobi Ruling House, Erufa Ruling House, and Balo Ruling House.

The monarch made this appeal during a high-level meeting at the Oloto Palace, attended by members of the Oloto Chiefs-in-Council, representatives of the Olupejobi and Balo ruling houses, and other key stakeholders from the kingdom.

“Unity is Strength,” Oloto Declares

Addressing the gathering, Oba Odesanya expressed deep appreciation for the continued support he has received since his coronation as the Oloto of Otto and Lagos Mainland. Reflecting on his journey as monarch, he acknowledged the divine nature of kingship, stating, “Only God can enthrone a king.”

He called on all aggrieved individuals and factions within the kingdom to set aside their grievances in the interest of unity and progress. “It is high time we come together and work for the greater good of the kingdom. Unity is strength; only through collaboration can the Otto Kingdom thrive and develop further,” the monarch said.

Kabiesi Urges Return of Indigenes Abroad

In addition to urging reconciliation among the ruling houses, Kabiesi Oloto also encouraged sons and daughters of the Otto Kingdom, both at home and in the diaspora, to return and contribute to the development of their ancestral land. He stressed that everyone has a role to play in building a prosperous and peaceful community.

“I want our people abroad to know that this land belongs to them, and their input is needed now more than ever. Let us work together to ensure that the blessings of the land benefit all,” he added.

A Prayer for Continued Growth

The Oloto offered prayers for peace, progress, and divine guidance for all members of the Otto Kingdom. He expressed optimism that through love, unity, and mutual respect, the kingdom would overcome internal conflicts and achieve even greater heights.
