LagRide Powers Davido’s Nationwide “Five Alive Tour” with 10,000 New Vehicles and Drivers

CIG Group and GAC Motors Unite with Afrobeats Star to Fuse Culture, Mobility, and Engineering Across Nigeria

Lagos, NigeriaCIG Group, owners of GAC Motor Nigeria, has forged a high-profile partnership with Afrobeats megastar Davido to power his nationwide Five Alive Tour, a landmark celebration bringing the sound home to local fans across five Nigerian states.

At the core of this collaboration is the mobilization of 10,000 new drivers and partners onto the roads via a new bank-backed vehicle leasing program operated by LagRide, CIG Group’s smart mobility arm. This significant fleet expansion is timed perfectly for the “Ember month rush,” ensuring safe, dignified, and joyful transportation for the concerts and increased holiday travel.

Chief Diana Chen, Chairman of CIG Group, emphasized the cultural significance of the partnership: “We believe in mobility that moves people and purpose. Davido represents a generation of Nigerians who are fearless, talented and globally respected. This partnership celebrates excellence, innovation and the beauty of motion.”

Throughout the tour, Davido and his entourage will travel in GAC luxury vehicles, specifically the GN8 MPV and the GS8 SUV, with the electric AionY also part of the fleet—symbolizing a blend of luxury, engineering, and sustainable mobility.

Jubril Arogundade, Executive Director of CIG Group, noted that the collaboration is historic, uniting “technology, culture and inspiration.” This partnership builds on a public display of synergy earlier this year when GAC presented a luxury vehicle to Davido’s wife, Chioma Rowland, an event that captivated the nation.

The expansion is driven by a robust leasing scheme that offers drivers access to brand-new CIG vehicles with competitive, bank-supported financing. The program features a clear path to ownership, flexible weekly repayments tied to kilometres driven, and comprehensive full cover including maintenance and insurance.

Furthermore, every new driver is mandatory enrolled in the LagRide Academy, where they receive professional training in customer service, safety protocols, and app mastery. Top performers can earn between ₦250,000 and ₦400,000 monthly and qualify for accelerated vehicle ownership.

CIG Group and GAC Motors have also promised a “mystery experience” to unfold in each of the five tour cities (Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Enugu, Ibadan, and Lagos), designed to emotionally connect with Nigerians and reinforce the company’s role as a partner in the nation’s creative and social evolution.
