Multichoice DStv has announced its decision to cease broadcasting Emmanuel TV, the religious network founded by the late T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). This move comes in the wake of a contentious documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that featured individuals claiming to be former SCOAN members recounting instances of molestation and torture allegedly perpetrated by the late prophet.

In a screen message, Multichoice informed viewers that Emmanuel TV’s broadcast discontinuation is set for January 17, 2024. The network will not only part ways with Multichoice but also cease services on StarSat and other pay-TV platforms.

This development unfolds against the backdrop of a three-part BBC documentary that delved into allegations of atrocities and sexual crimes against T.B. Joshua, incorporating interviews with at least 30 purported former members and workers of SCOAN.
