Speaker Ebonyi state house of Assembly and APC governorship candadate for the 2023 election Hon. Francis Nwifuru said if elected into the first seat of tbe state he shall focus on Education and human capital development.
He spoke in Abakaliki the Ebonyi state when the Congress of Boards and Commissions of Ebonyi State, came visiting, to show their support and solidarity to the 2023 guber agenda.
He said he will revamp the dying State University and esterblish Ebonyi state teaching hospitel.
“Under my watch, you cannot be a graduate of Ebonyi State University and any of our institutions and not have gainful employment, because we’ll churn out the best students. I’ll consistently visit the faculties and become part and parcel of every process in our education system.
“Ebonyi State University (EBSU) Faculties of Medicine and Law used to be the bests in the country, and we’ll make that happen again, with other Faculties. So, we’ll revamp Ebonyi State University and I’ll begin with the establishment of Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital.
“Secondly, our beloved father of the State, His Excellency the Governor, has done exceedingly in many sectors. We are going to complement his efforts in Human Capital Development. I’ll work to develop Ebonyians and make them wealth creators that will compete with their peers locally and internationally. We will build men and women. If these are the only achievements my administration records highly, then I’ll be leaving office as Governor with my shoulders high.
“To ensure strict and proper supervision of schools in Ebonyi State, one requirement to get appointed into Government positions when I become Governor, is that your children including mine, will be schooling here in Ebonyi State. So that we all will reap the dividends of our hard work or the other way round. We will revamp education in Ebonyi State and beam our lights on Human Capital Development
He charged the congress to always go back home and interact with their people in the villages, as this will avail the Government of the needs and priorities of communities in the State.
“We will all work together to further make Ebonyi State the best”. He said
