
Academics, Nutrition Specialists, and Communicators to Ensure Rigorous Review of 281 Entries Focused on Solution-Oriented National Reporting
Nestlé Nigeria has proudly announced the distinguished and diverse panel of judges for the 2025 Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards, underscoring the company’s deep commitment to celebrating impactful, socially relevant, and ethically sound journalism.
The Awards received an overwhelming response of 281 entries from journalists nationwide, reflecting strong national interest in critical areas like nutrition and food systems, environmental sustainability, youth and women empowerment, and community development.
A Fusion of Expertise for Unprecedented Rigour
This year’s panel seamlessly integrates expertise from academia, public health, and corporate communications to guarantee a comprehensive and fair evaluation process.
Key Judges:
- Dr. Yvonne Kanalio Olaloku (New Judge): Nutrition Specialist, Nestlé Nutrition Institute for Central and West Africa, bringing valuable insights in fortification advocacy and evidence-based nutrition.
- Dr. Margaret Agada-Mba (New Judge): Senior Lecturer at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University (PAU), recognized for her strong background in development communication and media research.
- Dr. Sunday John (Returning Judge): Senior Lecturer at PAU, celebrated for his works in environmental communication and editorial excellence.
- Dr. Chioma Emma-Nwachukwu (Returning Judge): Programmes Lead for the Lagos Chapter of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, contributing leadership in public health nutrition.
- Dr. Rosemary Otalor (Returning Judge): Account Director at APO Group, providing seasoned experience in strategic communications and public affairs.
Submissions will be rigorously assessed on criteria including accuracy, originality, impact, balance, depth, and adherence to ethical standards.

Victoria Uwadoka, Head of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainability at Nestlé Nigeria, highlighted how the judges’ integrity strengthens the Awards’ mission.
