Sen. Obinna Ogba, senator representing Ebonyi Central in the National Assembly, and the Chairman Senate Committee on Youth and Sports Sunday urged his political supporters not to lose hope over the Wednesday, September 14 apex court ruling that the battle for PDP governorship candidate for Ebonyi 2023 is not yet over.
The senator said he has another case in the Supreme Court over the governorship ticket of the People’s Democratic Party in the State for the 2023 general election.
Supreme Court had the last Wednesday ruled on a suit he originated against Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii for the ticket which was ruled against Ogba by the court.
Sen Ogba, while addressing his supporters in his campaign office with Chairmen of the party in the 13 LGAs in the state said there was no cause for alarm and urged them to remain steadfast as according to him, he still has a case in the Supreme Court over the ticket of the party for the governorship position. The
The senator said he has confidence in the judiciary and expressed positiveness that the case he said was still pending in the Supreme Court will favor him.
He said, “My reason for calling for this meeting is to thank all of you for your support, for your solidarity with my humble self and I want to assure you that you will not be disappointed.
“Let me tell anything God those not know does not happen and it does not exist. My message is very simple if it is the wish of God that I will be there nobody can take it away.

“What has happened is a very simple something, we have two cases in the Supreme court, one has been decided and it’s not in our favor we still have one in the court.
“But what is important is that as of today the three Senate candidates, the six House of Reps candidates and the 24 House of Assembly candidates are group soup.
“As it stands now, time is no longer on their side, they can no longer appeal. I am not a desperate politician, if it pleases God that the second appeal did not favor me, I will be happy because all the Senate, House of Representatives, and the House of Assembly candidates are mine.
“I belong to the common people and the hope of a common man is the judiciary, I still have hope in the judiciary”.
