
Hon. Pst. Eze Nwachukwu Eze, Member House of Representatives Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency has distributed Relief Materials to Communal Clash Victims in Ngbo, Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State southeast Nigeria.
The distribution lasted for three days Saturday through Monday, November 6th, 2023.The communities were affected by the protracted Ngbo/Agila war.
Hon. Nwachukwu Chairman House Committee On Banking Institutions during the distribution said he is working with his Benue counterpart at the green chamber to bring lasting peace to the communal war area.
His words, “Three days, three communities, and one resounding success! We initiated the Relief Materials distribution journey in Umuogudu Akpu, continued to Ekwashi Community, and concluded with a grand finale at Ukwagba.
“As your representative, I’m fully committed to securing a lasting peace for Ngbo and Agila and envision a brighter, prosperous Ebonyi and Ohaukwu federal constituency. Your welfare is my priority. Together, we can achieve these goals, one step at a time! Thank you for your trust and support.
“To everyone who contributed, supported, and participated, your kindness and dedication are the driving forces behind these positive changes. Rest assured, our commitment remains unwavering, and we will continue to take steps toward making Ebonyi and Ohaukwu a better place.
“I also extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to my Boss The Speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, for his invaluable support and efforts that made this initiative a success”.
“I also appreciate the unwavering commitment of the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, in fostering unity, and security and his huge support towards restoring peace between Ngbo and Agila communities.
Hon. Nwachukwu further thanked the traditional rulers and leaders of the communities for fostering a peaceful atmosphere and playing a crucial role in the distribution process.
“These three communities, among many, were selected as beneficiaries due to their substantial impact from the Ngbo and Agila crisis. He said.
He appreciated the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for the quick response to meet the needs of the communities who were displaced during the communal crisis and urged the beneficiaries to utilize it judiciously.
