The Southeast caucus of the House of Representatives has described the death of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President General Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, as a tragic loss.
A statement signed by Hon Igariwey Iduma Enwo For and on behalf of the South East Caucus of the House of Representatives said, “The South East Caucus of the House of Representatives received with profound shock and sadness the unforeseen passage of Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, ahaejiagamba Ndigbo who, until his death this morning, was the revered 11th President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
“Chief Iwuanyanwu, a rare breed, was a consummate Nigerian businessman, Politician and philanthropist who was a successful pioneer in several sectors and contributed immensely to the socio-political and economic development of this country.
“We mourn his tragic loss at this crucial period of our National life and pray to God to grant his immediate family, the good people of Imo state, the Igbo nation, and friends and associates across Nigeria and the globe the fortitude to bear this gargantuan loss.
