
HON. Chinedu Ogah member representing Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency, Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus more on power and industrialization in his second year to reduce poverty and insecurity in the country.
Ogah, the Chairman House Committee on Reformatory Institutions stated this in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital while speaking with journalists.
The lawmaker maintained that constant power will reduce poverty and insecurity in the country and ap the President to improve on it.
“If there is constant power in Nigeria, poverty will go.
“Let him focus more on power and industrialization if he focuses on these, you will see a lot of positive changes will come”
He further said president Tinubu knows what Nigerians want, and has a listening ear.
“The president has good machineries around him such as the Chief of Staff and his Ministers, which is why he is performing. That is why you see state Governors performing as well.
On the high cost of fuel, he said fuel price will surely come down when the modular refinery, Dangote, and BUA refineries commence operation in full.
He also appealed to Nigeria Labour Congress to drop the proposed strike over minimum wage and continue to dialogue with the federal government until they achieve their goal.
