Governor Ishaku who promised not to interfere in the primary election process said other zones should be allowed to produce candidates for the purpose of fairness and justice.

Under this new arrangement, elected office holders who are holding a position more than eight years would not be allowed to contest for same office in the next election.

A zoning committee was however constituted to review zoning arrangements of the party at all level.

Top among those the party will not be reconsidering for re-election are Senator Shuaibu Lau representing Northern zone; Hon Danladi Baido Members representing Karim Lamido, Lau and Ardo Kola Federal Constituency; Hon Rima Shawulu Member representing Takum, Donga and Usaa Federal Constituency, Hon Joseph Albasu Kunini Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly.
