Tragedy Strikes Access Holdings: CEO Herbert Wigwe Feared Dead in Helicopter Crash

In a shocking turn of events, Herbert Wigwe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, is feared to have lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash. Reports from The Will indicate that the incident occurred in California near the Nevada border, United States of America.

The devastating crash reportedly claimed the lives of not only Wigwe but also his wife and son, who were said to be accompanying him on the ill-fated flight. According to the New York Times, authorities have yet to locate any survivors as of Saturday morning.

The Federal Aviation Administration disclosed that the helicopter involved, a Eurocopter EC130, crashed around 10 p.m. local time near Nipton, Calif., an unincorporated community approximately 60 miles south of Las Vegas in eastern San Bernardino County. Details regarding the helicopter’s departure point and destination remained unclear at the time of reporting.

Efforts to obtain comments from Access Holdings regarding the tragic incident were unsuccessful, as the Head of Media Relations, Kunle Aderinokun, and other members of the media team did not respond to inquiries.

However, the Rivers State Government has confirmed the heartbreaking news, as Wigwe hailed from Rivers State. Joseph Johnson, the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a significant blow.

“His death is confirmed. It is a big loss to every sector. And not just himself, but with his wife and son. It is very painful,” Johnson conveyed in a conversation with our correspondent.

The commissioner assured that the state government would release an official statement regarding the tragic incident, underscoring the profound impact of Wigwe’s untimely demise on both personal and professional fronts.
