Twitter, a major US social media company, has publicized following the threads, incidents of Russia’s descent on Ukraine that it will caution posts that it considers to surround false information about Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine and will introduce a mechanism to reduce its spread.

On the 19th, Twitter announced new rules concerning posts about the invasion of Ukraine.

Warnings will be displayed for posts that are considered to be false depictions of the local situation or false war crimes or atrocities.

The warning says, “This tweet violates the rules and may harm people in crisis,” and you will not be able to see the content unless you press the read button. In addition, the target post cannot be retweeted or shared, and it is a mechanism to reduce the spread of incorrect information.

The verdict to exhibit the caution will be made with the cooperation of experts and human rights groups, and the company plans to extend this rule to conflicts in other regions and large-scale natural disasters in the future.

It will give you more control over your posts, but American entrepreneur Elon Musk argues that the acquisition of Twitter should reduce censorship.
