Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi Wednesday swears in a new special assistant and other media aides.
Mr. Chidozie Igwe is the new Special Assistant while Eze Ama Okoro and Sampson Ukpai were sworn in as Coordinators of Edda North and Ekumenyi Development Centres.
Also sworn in by the governor were Barrister Stanley Odanwu, Okorie Ogbonnaya Philip, Obinna Ekezie, Alike Emmanuel, Dr. Emmanuel Egba, and Clement Nwoba as members of the Local Government Advisory Committee.
The new appointees were sworn in at the Executive Council Chambers, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
Addressing the appointees, the Governor urged them to buckle up for service to the people of the State.
That they shouldn’t see their appointments as political patronage but as a call to contribute their quota to the development of the State.
“There is nobody who works for the public with a clean heart that God will not take care of and I assure you that as you are working for the public, God will be working in your families.”
Mr. Chidozie Igwe thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them.
“Your Excellency, on behalf of my fellow appointees, we accept the appointments wholeheartedly, thank you and God bless you.”
