UMC Celebrates Her 150 Million Launching

Southern conference of united Methodist church (UMC) Lagos state ministry recently held  her  150 million launching for the construction of its church auditorium in Lagos,

Speaking at the event, the director of connectional ministries, Reverend Philip Micah Dopah pledged his support for the young ministry and   dimmed it fit for the church to have a place in Lagos to honour the Lord our God the creator of all things, he also stated that his aim for the church was to establish branches in the western areas on the country to enable the church grow and occupy all 36 states.

He also urged the church in general to give their maximum support in love and respects to their leaders to enable the growth in unism.

Speaking earlier was the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Moses Leo, who stated in his opening speech, the need to unite and embrace the body of Christ in all areas to achieve unism, he said  

“I am humbled through the mercies of our Lord Jesus Christ to chair this occasion.

The Bible says “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where  moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal”  ~Matthew 6:19-20

This occasion has offered each and every one of us the great opportunity to lay up for ourselves treasures; therefore we should seize this great opportunity to save our millions in Heaven.

  Dear Brethren, no amount is too much and none is too little; please give cheerfully and the Lord God will bless us accordingly in Jesus Name…  Amen”

The event was graced with various dignitaries, captains and directors, son and daughters of both public and private sectors, from various parts of the country, who shared the same goals in raising the solid foundation of the ministry at large.

The event went on with a presentation from the new life for all choir, the UMC women choir followed by traditional dances up until its closure
