In addressing unemployment in Ebonyi state, the state governor recently approved the recruitment of graduates into the civil service.

The recruitment process is in progress targeting 1,454 workers.

Consequently, a total of 17, 834 applications have been received by the State Civil Service Commission in the ongoing recruitment of the 1,454 workers ordered by Governor Francis Nwifuru.

Jude Okpor the state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Thursday told journalists in Abakaliki, the state capital that out of the 17,834 applicants who submitted employment applications, only 5,352 met the requirement of submitting Original Certificates, with their applications while the rest submitted their statements of results.
