Unity Bank Partners with ANWBN to Boost Women Entrepreneurs Through Technology

Unity Bank, in collaboration with the Association of Nigerian Women in Business Network (ANWBN), organized a capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs with digital marketing and AI skills. The event, themed “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies,” featured sessions led by industry experts, including Dr. Opeyemi Ojesina, CEO of Jesshill Consulting, and Nkechinyere Ojiego from Simba Group. Participants were provided with tools to leverage digital platforms for business growth, enhance customer engagement, and increase market visibility.

The initiative reflects Unity Bank’s commitment to supporting female-led businesses. Mrs. Adenike Abimbola, Unity Bank’s Divisional Head of Retail and SME Banking, emphasized the importance of transitioning from traditional business models to technology-driven methods. She reiterated the bank’s focus on empowering women-led ventures through partnerships and programs tailored to their needs.

Participants like Mrs. Yetunde Adeniran, a fashion designer, highlighted the practical benefits of the workshop and the role of Unity Bank’s Yanga Account in supporting small business owners. Launched in 2022, the Yanga Account is aimed at promoting financial inclusion for women, underscoring Unity Bank’s continuous efforts to uplift women in business through educational resources and financial tools.
