We shall bring back peace to the land of Effium -Eze Nwachukwu

The member representing Ebonyi/Ohukwu federal consistency of Ebonyi state at the national assembly Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze says he is working hard to bring lasting peace between Effium and, the Ngbo people and Agila people at Ado local government area of Benue state.
Nwachukwu former APC chairman in Ebonyi state and a first-timer in the House of Representatives decried that the protected land dispute has crumbled economic activities in the area and at the same time promoted food insecurity.

He said the two warring communities are yearning for peace and with the effort he is making at the national assembly with the Benue state lawmakers peace and coexistence will return to the buffer zone and economic activities will boom.

Nwachukwu urged the youths of the area to support the government of Governor Francis Nwifuru who has a good plan for the youths of the state.

“by God’s grace, we will bring back peace to the land of Effium and, between the Ngbo people and Agila people at Ado local government.

“On the 15th day of June, I moved a motion for a federal government intervention which the house resolved that there is a need for government to intervene in the areas of economic activities and also to support the warring communities who have initiated peace moves that have been yielding fruits.

“That alone will resolve the war that started as far back as 1930 or there about till date. Our people and the Agila people have agreed on this development.

“The stakeholders are happy. This war has consumed so many lives, and the agricultural and socio-economic activities have been put to hurt for so many years but now based on this motion there is hope for peace.

“I am using this opportunity to plead with the youth, those consuming hard drugs that always invite people to steal electric cables in Ohaukwu, the announcement given to you is that your time is up.

“if you are a member of any cultism bringing problems to our land we have agreed in our meetings that anyone caught fermenting trouble of any kind will be dealt with.

“it is only in Igbo land that a police station can not stand because of the activities of torts.

He advised the people to support the Governor of Ebonyi state according to him,” From the performance of the new governor, he has shown that he has a lot of good things to deliver to the people. Therefore support him and all his policies” he said.

The lawmaker also announced that Chinese nationals would soon visit Ohuaukwu and Ebonyi to introduce a mechanized farming system to the rural farmers.
