WEC Touching Lives in the Slum.

Women embrace change (WEC) outreach, today visited the homes of people living in the slum at Maiyegun Lekki Eti-osa Local government area in Lagos state.

The director of the group Dr. Eunice Orji, said the group is committed to check on the disadvantage people in the society to give them sense of belonging.
She used the occasion to talk with the young ladies and women on the use of contraceptives for prevention of unwanted pregnancy and other transmitted diseases like HIV/ AIDS.
She charged the the married ones to take care of their homes to avoid their husbands from going out to look for side chicks.

Dr. Orji also used the occasion to talk to the them about the teaching of Jesus Christ and the better way to live a life of happiness.

Mrs. Buckman who lives with them in the area said, the visit WEC was timely and a welcomed development as it will also keep the young girls on check.

She used the opportunity to task government to look at this areas of people with disadvantages and come to their aid.

Miss.Ogbueike, who spoke for the WEC stated that the program is aimed at teaching and giving help to the people living in the swampy environment.

Foods and other items like mosquito nets, clothes and detergents were shared among 300 homes around the area to put smile on their faces.
